NIKE UK

Over the past 40 years, Nike has led the way in creating compelling imagery for the active and competitive sports landscape through its creative advertising and marketing campaigns. In 1982, Alton Byrd was asked to advise and craft a basketball marketing strategy to help propel the "Air Force One" shoe into the urban landscape in London. From 1982 to 1987, Alton Byrd helped build Nike's initial presence in urban culture through his sports and entertainment connections around the United Kingdom.

Hoop-It-Up USA

Alton Byrd was approached by Hoop-It-Up USA to help develop and build a platform for marketing the world famous 3 on 3 tournaments in the United Kingdom. After much strategic grass roots marketing planning, Alton Byrd and the Hoop-It-Up team created a five year plan that culminated in the largest 3 on 3 tournament in United Kingdom basketball history in London with over 3300 players and 20,000 spectators over one weekend. Over 5 years, Alton Byrd and his team created consistently successful and profitable events for the client.

Major League Baseball Fan Fest-London

Alton Byrd and his team was approached by Major League Baseball and ask to find central locations to hold the first ever Major League Baseball Festivals in Europe. Working in London, Alton Byrd and his team found locations, created the marketing plans, resourced permits, and implemented all event activities at the world famous Covent Garden Market in Central London for two years in 1990 and 1991. Over 250,000 consumers participated in activities each year.
