First Friday's -San Francisco/Bay ARea Chapter is predominately an (but not exclusively) African organization whose purpose is to provide a balance of networking and social opportunities for the professional community. Our mission is to create opportunities, which promote personal and business related interactions among African American individuals, organizations and businesses. We fulfill this mission on a monthly basis by providing an environment conducive to professional, community and social development.

Since November 1988, First Fridays has grown its average monthly event attendance from 25 to 800+ attendees and is well known as the largest, long-standing African American networking event in the Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose).
